Pre Certification
Discover Scuba Diving:
Minimum Age: 10
The
Discover Scuba Diving programme allows you to actually GO DIVING in just
a one day programme. The Discover Scuba program entails a short
classroom session, pool skills session and a dive in the open water… aka
Certification Courses:
Scuba Diver
The Scuba
Diver course is a sub course within the Open Water Diver course that
teaches student divers the foundational knowledge and skills they need
to dive under the super vision of a certified Dive master, assistant
instructor or instructor.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn
fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.
You earn this rating by completing three pool dives and knowledge
development sessions and by making two open water dives.
Course
Length: Approximately 3 days
PADI programs are performance based. You
proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you
to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. (Course takes a minimum
of two days)
Minimum Age: 10 years
Materials
A PADI Open Water
Crew-Pack which includes the open water manual, log book, recreational
dive planner and instruction booklet are included in the course package.
Open Water Course
As a
certified PADI Open Water Diver, the most widely recognized and
respected rating in the world; you have the freedom to dive with a buddy
independent of a professional.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn
fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.
You earn this rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge
development sessions and by making four open water dives.
Course
length: Approximately 4 days
PADI programs are performance based. You
proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you
to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. (Course takes a minimum
of 3 days)
Minimum Age: 10 years
Materials
A PADI Open Water
Crew-Pack which includes the open water manual, log book, recreational
dive planner and instruction booklet are included in your course
package.
Adventure
and Advanced Open Water Course:
Must hold Open Water certification or equivalent rating
The Adventure
Diver Course consists of 3 of the following adventure dives:

Upon completion of 3 of these dives, you become a
PADI Adventure Diver. This will make you more experienced, feel more
comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you better
understand the underwater environment.
Course Duration: 1-2 days

Advanced
Open Water:
To Complete the Advanced open water course you must do FIVE of the
adventure dives, one of which must be the Deep dive and the other in
Navigation.
Course Duration: 1-2 days
5 dives in two to three
days.
Course Pre Requisites:
Open Water or Equivalent rating
Materials:
Adventures in Diving Book and Navigation slate which is
included in the course package.
Rescue Diver
Rescue Diver
training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage
dive emergencies. During the five open water sessions, you'll cover:
• Self-rescue and diver stress
• Dive first aid
• Emergency
management and equipment
• Swimming and non-swimming assists
•
Panicked diver response
• Underwater problems
• Missing diver
procedures
• Surfacing the unconscious diver
• In water
artificial respiration
• Egress (exits)
• First aid procedures
for pressure related accidents
• Dive accident scenarios
Course
Duration: Approximately 5 days
Course pre requisites:
Advanced
open water or equivalent and be trained in CPR & First Aid within the
previous 2 years. Don’t panic if you do not have this as we will be able
to teach you the EFR course before embarking on the Rescue Course.
Minimum Age: 12 years
Materials:
Rescue Diver crew pack included
in the course package.
Emergency First Response

Emergency First Response gives you the tools you need to perform CPR and
First Aid. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First
Response prepares you to properly handle potentially life-threatening
situations.
This comprehensive program is composed of two core
modules that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses:
Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response -
Secondary Care. Together, these courses provide extensive instruction in
CPR and First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended)
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen sections.
We also run a Care for Children course which hones your skills in
first aid for children, teaching the different techniques than those
used on an adult. A must for any parent or those regularly in contact
with children!

Master Scuba Diver
Take
the Master Scuba Diver Challenge: The “Black Belt” of non-professional
diving!!
Master Scuba Diver is PADI’s highest recreational diving
certification. This is where the best of the best come to play because
the dive possibilities are endless. To become a Master Scuba Diver you
must log 50 dives and complete the following PADI Courses This consists
of 5 specialities in chosen areas, and is a fun and rewarding course
offered by D2O Scuba.
This certification denotes that you've reached
the highest recreational diver level in the PADI System of diver
education. PADI Master Scuba Diver indicates you have a significant
amount of training and experience in a variety of dive environments.
To become a Master Scuba Diver you must have completed the
following:
PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying
certification from another organization)
• PADI Advanced Open Water
Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another
organization)
• PADI Rescue Diver certification (or qualifying
certification from another organization)
• 50 logged dives
• Five
PADI Specialty course certifications
• Minimum age: 15 years old (12
for Junior Master Scuba Diver)
The PADI Master Scuba Diver
certification is the highest recreational level in the PADI system of
diver education. But, you don't have to stop there! You can continue on
to become a PADI Professional. As a Master Scuba Diver you'll be well
qualified to begin your training as a PADI Divemaster.

Divemaster
Take the first
step in your dive career and become a PADI Divemaster. Working closely
with a PADI Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and perfect
your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training
develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive
activities and assist instructors with student divers.
During the
Dive Master course you will:
• Learn dive leadership through
classroom and independent study sessions
• Complete water skills and
stamina exercises in confined and open water
• Training exercises to
test organizational and problem solving abilities
• An internship or
series of practical training exercises
Upon successful completion on
the DM course you will enable you to:
• Work at local dive centers,
on live-aboard dive boats, and yachts
• Assist PADI Instructors with
students
• Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours
• Teach
and certify PADI Skin Divers
• Teach PADI Discover Snorkeling
programs

Course
Duration
The Divemaster Course can be completed in two weeks,
provided self study is completed. However, D2O offer an internship
program where students are invited to join the Centre for 2 to 3 Months
and gain real hands on experience.

The Encyclopedia of
Recreational Diving - a comprehensive overview of diving physics,
physiology, and equipment.
The Diving Knowledge Workbook – a self-study guide used in
preparation for the Divemaster and Instructor exams.

Assistant Instructor and Open

The
PADI Assistant Instructor course is the first portion of the PADI
Instructor Development Course (IDC) and when followed by the Open Water
Scuba Instructor course (OWSI) and successful performance at the
Instructor Examination (IE), leads to certification as a PADI Open Water
Scuba Instructor
You build upon your abilities to organize and
supervise scuba diving activities, while concentrating on developing
teaching skills. You learn through:

PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
Course
Is about life transformations—both yours and those around
you.
The Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program is one of two
distinct components of PADI’s Instructor Development Course (IDC)—the
core of PADI Instructor training. The first portion is the Assistant
Instructor course followed by the Open Water Scuba Instructor program.
The OWSI program is a minimum of four days. It introduces you to the
entire PADI System of diver education and concentrates on further
developing your abilities as a professional dive educator.
What the
course entails:
During the course you’ll learn how to apply the PADI
System of Education by presenting at least:

You will demonstrate competence at:
Performing all 20
dive skills listed on the Skill Evaluation.
Performing a facedown,
nonstop swim for 800 metres using a mask, snorkel and fins.
During the course you’ll need to demonstrate competency in Dive theory
by passing a five-part theory exam scoring 75% on each part.
What You
Can Teach
After becoming an Open Water Scuba Instructor, you will be
able to conduct the entire range of PADI programs from Discover Scuba
Diving up to Divemaster. You may also choose to acquire specialty
instructor ratings in areas of interest, such as Digital Underwater
Photographer or Enriched Air Diver.
Prerequisites
To qualify
for training as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, you must:
Be
certified as a PADI Divemaster or a PADI Assistant Instructor or be an
instructor in good standing with another training organization for at
least six months
Be at least 18 years old
Be certified as a diver
for at least six months
Have 60 logged dives that include experience
in night, deep and navigation diving to participate in the Instructor
Development Course. You’ll need 100 logged dives to take the Instructor
Exams
Have proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24
months. The Emergency First Response course meets this requirement
Be
fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician
within the last 12 months
