Lighthouse Reef

Lighthouse reef is located on the south east side of Glovers Island. Typically this reef can be described as being quite similar to shark reef but larger holes in the reef, and hence homes bigger nurse sharks. Lighthouse reef gets its name from the point of Lance Aux Epines where there is a house which looks just like a lighthouse. This topographic reef homes some of the most beautiful reef fishes in the Caribbean such as snapper, hind, grunt, file and triggerfish along with stingray, lobster, big nurse sharks, moray eels and King crab.

Dive Master Notes

Begin the dive at 12m/40ft and the reef slopes off to a max depth of 20m/66ft to the sand. Fingers of reef and sand patches provide an ideal habitat for nurse sharks and stingrays. A dive suitable for most levels although some level of experience needed due to Atlantic currents and surges.
