Deep Blue : Face of the Devil
Deep Blue or Face of the Devil is located around twin sister’s rocks.
This dive site is an exciting and dramatic wall, dropping off to an awe inspiring 50m/165ft. The steep sided walls of this reef system attract many open water creatures to stop by and feed. Turtle encounters are common and frequent. Twin Sister’s also offers an amazing background and picturesque setting for the idyllic dive location. Stingrays, Eagle Rays and nurse sharks are seen on this site also.
Dive Master Notes
The dive begins in 6m/20ft in the North West corner of the rocks. Heading south we meet a wall which drops dramatically to 50m/165ft, continuing down after a change of gradient and bottom contour. Depending on current, it is possible to go with the current and circle back to the starting point or travel east along the back of the rocks and swim between the channel that divides the sister’s. Here two caverns are found, one of which is large enough to enter and explore and even swim through. Given sea conditions, depths and currents D2O will only take experienced divers to Isle de Rhonde.
